My dear friends, I am excited to announce starting today I am now running the 1928 Morning Prayer Podcast. This is the first time I’ve run a podcast, so it is exciting and a little overwhelming. The Pod Cast reaches people all over the world, so it’ll be an interesting compliment to my daily ministry in sort of rural North Carolina. I invite all of my friends and family to join in listening if you are interested.
I have started a GoFundMe site to cover the minor costs this undertaking has. The only cost I foresee right now is for the podcast hosting service, which is 109 dollars. As I don’t have a huge budget right now, I am hoping people will be able to chip in a little cover these costs. You can find information about that here.
Morning Prayer holds a special place in my heart as it is the reason I became Anglican. I love the flow and rhythm of it, and I am looking forward to sharing in that with my friends and those around the world.
The PodCast has a worldwide audience, and because of that, each service is posted a day early. I have already posted Ash Wednesday’s service. If you decide to enjoy these, just pay attention to the date on the podcast. Right now they are only posted Monday-Friday. It may be that I will add Saturday and Sunday down the road, but I am going to wait and see how this plays into the daily flow of my life and habits.
One of my goals stemming from this project will be weekly meditations on the collect for the week. I hope these little reflections will be a blessing to everyone. Thank-you all for your support and prayers. Our God is truly amazing, and it’s always exciting to see what each new day holds.
